 EDITOR REVIEW: MIDTOWN EAST. Here's a no-brainer: Tudor City hides a small handful of culinary treasures. Chief among them is this beacon of style and contemporary design. L'Impero takes the concept of traditional Italian dining, and does it several shakes better. This is thanks in large part to Chef Scott Conant's wildly complex creations, which range from appetizers of marinated Pacific yellowtail or warm fagiolini and goat cheese salad to dishes of house-made spaghetti or roasted Vermont capretto.
